What you actually see

David I of Scotland built the first castle in the 1120s, and it swapped between Scotland and England for centuries. In 1292 Edward I's decision on who should be King of Scots was announced in its great hall, and in 1847 that hall was flattened to build the railway station.

Known for: Its great hall was knocked down to build Berwick railway station.
